Mason and Emmitt were eating lunch the other day when Josh Groban's "You Are Loved" came on (it's part of my little music playlist over there on the bottom right if you feel inclined to jam along). Donning my p.j.'s (which is how you'll catch me most days in between school runs), I cranked up the volume and spun around the kitchen with my arms outstretched as far as they would go. For those that are wondering, I am fairly certain that I dance the same way I did at nearly 27 (coming up next week . . . eek) as I did when I was 4 years old. There might have been a tutu involved back then. I just may need to get me one of those for my mid-day dance sessions. When we we got to the chorus, both little men gave me great big giggles as I pointed to each of them and belted out at the top of my lungs,
"YOU! ARE! LOOOOOOOOOOOVED!"
{hand hearts included}
Mason was so smitten when he figured out he could make them too.
So in case you needed a little reminding . . .
YOU
ARE
LOVED!
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be
called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world
does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
-John 3:1-2;16
